The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Elliott lands a leg kick that knocks Franklin off balance momentarily.
A low kick from Elliott is predictable there
and Franklin counters with a nice body kick.
Elliott looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Elliott pulls out of a head kick attempt.
John Elliott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Elliott throws a head kick that Franklin semi-blocks.
A slow jab from Franklin misses its intended target.
Elliott dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Franklin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Elliott defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Franklin.
