The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staunton throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Staunton pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Staunton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Place throws a lazy right hand but Staunton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Staunton misses with a body kick.
Place lands a big uppercut and Staunton crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Staunton looks OK. Place waves Staunton back to his feet!

Staunton is rocked!
Staunton slips a straight right by Place.
Oh Staunton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Place takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Staunton seems to have got his legs back now.
Staunton throws the kick towards the body but Place avoids it.

Place fakes the body blow, causing Staunton to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Staunton goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
