Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mary Medina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Rapide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mary Medina!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lyoto Rapide!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medina gets a clinch.
Rapide drags the fight down to the ground.
Rapide is adopting a defensive guard.
Rapide utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rapide looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Medina passes into half guard.
Rapide has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Medina is working away from the top position though.
Medina is looking for a kimura here.
Rapide trying to hold on to Medina's head to control him but Medina postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rapide has one foot on Medina's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Rapide shoots for a double leg takedown but Medina sprawls well. He's pushed Rapide's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rapide gets a clinch.
Medina is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rapide is defending well for now.
Rapide jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Medina walks away with a smile on his face. Rapide gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Medina swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rapide counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Rapide takes an elbow to the forehead.
Medina trying to land knees to the body.
Medina tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rapide smiles and moves away.
Medina wants to clinch up but Rapide keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rapide shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Medina pinned against the cage. Medina gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mary Medina has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lyoto Rapide.
Rapide throws a right and a left that both miss.
Medina throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rapide.
Medina wants to clinch but Rapide slips to the side
and Rapide counters with a head kick that drops Medina to the mat! Medina scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Medina is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Rapide knocks Medina out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lyoto Rapide!
