Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rom Moshe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Recard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Moshe is looking to break free of the clinch but Recard has double underhooks.
Recard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Moshe just stands there and leans against the cage.
Moshe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Recard fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Moshe tries to clinch up.

Recard looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Moshe!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Moshe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Recard wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Recard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moshe keeps working.
Moshe holds on to Recard's head and controls the position momentarily.
Recard wants to stand but Moshe is controlling his arm.

Recard is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Moshe's shoulder. That is not cool.

Recard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Moshe, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moshe swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Recard controlling the pace for now.
Moshe sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Recard seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Moshe can't keep his opponent in guard - Recard advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Moshe is looking to escape.

Recard is looking for a kimura but Moshe is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Recard to get the leverage.

Moshe manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Moshe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Recard as he avoids it easily.

Moshe prevents Recard from moving into mount.
Recard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moshe keeps working.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Moshe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Moshe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Recard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Recard stuffs the takedown attempt from Moshe. Moshe gets slowly back to his feet.

and Recard counters with a takedown into side control.
Recard lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Recard has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Moshe!

Moshe is desperately trying to improve his position but Recard has a good base and remains in mount.

Recard tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
