The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

George closes the distance and clinches.

George escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Paul tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but George swivels and escapes.
George uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
George getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
George scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

George closes the distance and clinches.

George breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from George misses.
George throws an off balance right hand
and Paul counters with an inside leg kick.
Ricky George seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
George swings away with a body shot that misses
and Paul counters with a head kick. That will keep George thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
George goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Ethan Paul has been cut.
George fails with an attempt to clinch.
George has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Paul.
Paul scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

George is rocked!

Paul shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! George is on queer street and Paul is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
