PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pico De Pato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Chigurh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chigurh has chosen Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go (Korean Style) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chigurh fails with the takedown.

De Pato looks to land a combination but Chigurh avoids it well.

De Pato gets tackled into the cage by Chigurh. Chigurh maintains the clinch.
Chigurh looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Chigurh shoots in looking for a takedown. De Pato tries to sprawl out of it but Chigurh keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. De Pato manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Chigurh remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Chigurh is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. De Pato is trying to escape and Chigurh transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and De Pato is forced to tap! Nice work there by Chigurh! Very nice indeed!

Anton Chigurh decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
