Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brenno Penna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penna comes to the cage accompanied by APOCALYPSE NOW. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penna looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Penna persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing.
Penna moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Penna escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Penna had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gracie is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Penna Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gracie's back instead.

That was a close round but I would say that Brenno Penna will probably get the nod.

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Penna is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Gracie defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
