Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyrone Slade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Strashko!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strashko fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Slade on the side of the head.
Slade misses with a low kick.
Slade throws an overhand right that lands on Strashko's shoulder, as Strashko tries to avoid the shot.
Slade takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A clash of legs there as Strashko blocks the low kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Strashko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Strashko.
Strashko comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Strashko connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Slade blocks a jab.
Slade lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slade throws a low kick but Strashko moves out of range easily.

Slade tries to work over Strashko's front leg with a kick but Strashko checks it.
We've been told by Slade's head coaches at WarZone Training Facility 1 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Strashko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Strashko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Slade tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Strashko wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Slade can't do much from the bottom here.
Slade managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Strashko.
Slade on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Slade tries to get out of the position.
Slade parries the strikes from Strashko easily there. Strashko is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Slade to escape.
Slade is trying to improve his position.

Strashko working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.


It looks like Tyrone Slade has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Strashko sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Slade is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Strashko tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Slade easily slips into full mount!
Strashko is trying desperately to improve position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Strashko is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strashko is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Slade tries to land a front kick but Strashko steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Strashko is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Slade throws a leg kick that misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Strashko. Slade does a little dance to reset his feet.
Strashko throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Slade lands a head kick that stumbles Strashko and the fighters go to the mat.


It looks like Ivan Strashko has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Strashko is pulling down on Slade's head to control his posture.
Slade is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Strashko tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Ivan Strashko has got the better of the ground game so far.

Slade's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Strashko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slade manages to get himself to full guard.
Strashko wants to control from the top but Slade keeps moving.

Strashko is pressing down on Slade's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Strashko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Strashko seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Strashko manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Strashko has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Slade's face.
Strashko cracks Slade with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Strashko lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tyrone Slade's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ivan Strashko!
A victorious Ivan Strashko thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, Tyrone Slade stepped up to the mic, saying 'Glad this is over, facing these small guys with a speed advantage, gonna quit fighting.'.
