Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between clark McCahon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). clark McCahon had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 137.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. clark McCahon has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCahon shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McCahon misses with a kick to the body.
McCahon shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Silva.
Silva tries for a kimura but McCahon is defending well.
Silva controlling the position from side mount.
McCahon is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Silva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
McCahon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McCahon fails with the takedown
and Silva counters with a head kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for clark McCahon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McCahon is breathing heavily.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva content to control rather than advance.

Silva decides to stand up.
Silva throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
McCahon lands with a nice body kick.
Silva throws a series of punches but McCahon moves out of range.
McCahon stalks Silva and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Silva's face. Silva staggers backwards, shaken.
McCahon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Silva breaks from the clinch.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
clark McCahon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva drives through and clinches with McCahon against the cage.
Silva letting McCahon take a breather here.
Silva manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Silva works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Silva not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McCahon working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
Silva gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McCahon's guard.
McCahon throws his legs up looking for a submission but Silva uses it to pass to side control.
McCahon is looking to reverse the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva stands up.
Silva scores a takedown into full mount!

McCahon tries to clinch but Silva moves away
and Silva counters with a good low kick that McCahon was not able to check.
McCahon shoots and misses
so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva gets to his feet. McCahon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Silva darts in and clinches McCahon up against the cage.
Silva breaks from the clinch.
Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva gets control of McCahon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McCahon's guard.
McCahon looking for a sweep. Not yet McCahon, not yet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McCahon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has McCahon in his guard.

McCahon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McCahon is posturing up here but Silva has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! McCahon tries to roll out but it's too tight and McCahon has to tap! Slick submission there by Silva!
