The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Smith dives in and grabs Li's left leg, looking for a takedown. Li pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Li wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Li has closed the distance and engaged Smith in a clinch.
Smith tries for a takedown but Li manages to get underhooks.
Smith has Li pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Li manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Li has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile.
Smith wants to get back to striking at distance but Li won't allow it.
Smith goes for a takedown attempt but Li pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Li throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Li clinches.
Li misses with a knee strike.
Smith has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Li is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Li prevents a takedown attempt there.
Li scores a nice knee to the body.

Smith is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Li has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Smith - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Li, and another! Smith is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

David Li bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
