The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Retsroprez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mcfarland has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mcfarland and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A low kick from Retsroprez is predictable there
and Mcfarland counters with a big head kick but Retsroprez shrugs it off.
A solid leg kick lands there for Retsroprez.
Retsroprez lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mcfarland's sensitive parts.
Retsroprez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mcfarland tries to pull guard but Retsroprez holds him up against the cage and eventually Mcfarland drops back down to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Retsroprez has Mcfarland pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Mcfarland is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Retsroprez - that's hurt Mcfarland badly! Oh, another knee lands and Mcfarland is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Mcfarland doesn't seem to be complaining.
