The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lurendrejer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kuan.
Lu Kuan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lurendrejer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kuan throws a hook to the side of Lurendrejer's head but Lurendrejer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lurendrejer is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kuan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kuan has escaped and now he's on top!

Lurendrejer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kuan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
