Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adelbert Gainsborough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimura comes to the cage accompanied by Seek and Destroy . Gainsborough has chosen Dope - Debonaire as his entrance music. Joe Kimura could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Adelbert Gainsborough's chin.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gainsborough tries to land a front kick but Kimura steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Gainsborough forces Kimura back against the cage and clinches.
Gainsborough prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kimura is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gainsborough pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kimura goes for a takedown attempt but Gainsborough pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Kimura. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kimura will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gainsborough has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kimura misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gainsborough lands a left and a right that send Kimura crashing to the mat, dazed. Gainsborough thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Joe Kimura has been cut.

Gainsborough throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kimura stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kimura. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
