Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Karelinokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Lands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fedor Karelinokov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timo Lands!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelinokov stuffs the takedown attempt from Lands. Lands gets slowly back to his feet.
Karelinokov scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Karelinokov circles away from the clinch attempt.

Karelinokov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lands is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Karelinokov's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lands lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Timo Lands is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Karelinokov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lands. That's going to slow Karelinokov down.
Lands doesn't manage to clinch there - Karelinokov circles away.

Karelinokov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lands really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Karelinokov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Karelinokov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lands has momentary wrist control but Karelinokov slips an elbow through the middle.
Karelinokov advances to half guard.
Karelinokov uses his free foot to push down on Lands's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lands.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Karelinokov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Karelinokov jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lands manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Lands wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Lands takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Lands stops Karelinokov from passing to mount.
Karelinokov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lands keeps working.
Lands wants to control but Karelinokov postures up.
Karelinokov slows the pace down.
Karelinokov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lands manages to work his way to half guard, despite Karelinokov's best efforts.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Lands tries to close the distance and clinch up but Karelinokov swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lands not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fedor Karelinokov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Karelinokov is working Lands over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Lands thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Karelinokov stands and steps away. Lands gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Karelinokov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Karelinokov is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Lands has managed to free his arm - good work.

Karelinokov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Lands wants to improve his position but Karelinokov is controlling well.
Karelinokov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Karelinokov could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Karelinokov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Karelinokov has control of an arm but Lands manages to advance to Karelinokov's back!

You can see the frustration on Lands's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Karelinokov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lands for as long as he can get away with.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
I would not like to be Lands right now.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Karelinokov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
