Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Metin Eroglu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Haigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eroglu comes to the cage accompanied by No Worries. Haigh has chosen Macabre - Acid Bath Vampire as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eroglu connects with a body shot that sends Haigh's belly button to the back.
John Haigh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eroglu walks into a jab.
Eroglu throws a head kick that misses.
Haigh cracks Eroglu with a right hand to the side of the head.

Haigh goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Eroglu goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Haigh lands a really nice looking cross but Eroglu seems unphased.
The fighters circling - Haigh throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Eroglu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Haigh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Eroglu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and Eroglu counters with a slapping leg kick.
Eroglu lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Haigh throws an overhand right that lands on Eroglu's shoulder, as Eroglu tries to avoid the shot.
Haigh scores with a punch to the head.

Haigh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Haigh will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Haigh takes one to the side of the head.
A cross from Haigh lands.
Haigh bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Eroglu's head backwards.
Eroglu throws a sloppy head kick and Haigh moves out of range easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Eroglu.
Eroglu misses with a body kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Eroglu!
Haigh misses the jab.
Haigh's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Haigh duly obliges.
Haigh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Eroglu as he avoids it easily.
Haigh is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Eroglu had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Haigh misses with a looping left.
Haigh takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Eroglu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Eroglu is looking to land body kicks.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Eroglu lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Haigh has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Haigh and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Eroglu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Eroglu throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Haigh's head.

Haigh bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Eroglu manages to work his way to half guard, despite Haigh's best efforts.

Haigh in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Eroglu tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Haigh!

John Haigh was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
