Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timo Haria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burdon Ambler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haria shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ambler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ambler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ambler fails to land with a series of punches.
Haria fails with the takedown.
Ambler takes a swing at Haria's ribcage but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haria is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ambler gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Haria drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ambler looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ambler looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ambler!
Haria is looking to regain half guard here but Ambler keeps moving and retains side control.

Ambler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ambler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Haria is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Haria wants to get back to full guard but Ambler has passed into side control.
Haria is wriggling around trying to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haria is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ambler throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Haria is staying active underneath Ambler, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Haria looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ambler is fending him off so far but Haria persists. Nope, Ambler circles away and we're back to standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Haria feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ambler throws a right hand that Haria ducks under and follows up with a left that Haria also avoids with ease.

Haria closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ambler circles away.

Ambler throws a nice looking combination but Haria bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Haria closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ambler to the mat! Ambler manages to get full guard.

Haria is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ambler is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ambler has escaped and now he's on top!

Haria working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ambler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ambler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Haria isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ambler stacks Haria on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ambler!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ambler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ambler decides to stand back up. Ambler steps back and let's Haria get back to his feet.
Haria shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ambler as he avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Haria looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ambler throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ambler scores with a crisp jab that stopped Haria in his tracks.

Ambler throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

What can Haria do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
