The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheblenenko misses with a leg kick
and Skotnicki counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sheblenenko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Skotnicki ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Skotnicki no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Skotnicki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sheblenenko's guard.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sheblenenko has eaten all the pies!

and Skotnicki counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Skotnicki.
Skotnicki jumps into guard, dragging Sheblenenko to the mat.
Skotnicki manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Skotnicki is in the full mount, landing strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Skotnicki tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Skotnicki has control of Sheblenenko's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sheblenenko regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Sheblenenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Skotnicki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BOOM! Skotnicki connects with a massive shot to the dome!
