Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Dolinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dolinger has chosen Can't Be Touched as his entrance music. Sean Dolinger looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sean Dolinger!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Skip Squint and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dolinger gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Alexander trying to control the position from guard on top but Dolinger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alexander has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Dolinger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Dolinger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alexander can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Alexander won't allow Dolinger to sweep him here.
Alexander postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dolinger should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

A close round but Sean Dolinger will probably get the nod.

Alexander closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Alexander looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Dolinger wants to get back to full guard.

Dolinger gets caught flat footed, as Alexander shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Kendrick Alexander wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Alexander drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dolinger wants to sweep but no luck.
Alexander tries to stand but Dolinger is controlling from the bottom.

Dolinger is looking for a triangle here but Alexander uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Kendrick Alexander overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dolinger is looking to reverse the position.
Alexander tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Alexander misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Alexander is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Dolinger's shoulder. That is not cool.

and Alexander counters by clinching up.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Dolinger takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Dolinger shoots in and bounces Alexander off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dolinger enables Alexander to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dolinger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Dolinger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alexander defends it easily.

Alexander gets to his feet - Dolinger follows without any prompting.
Dolinger fails with the takedown.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dolinger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Alexander defends well and Dolinger ends up having to push Alexander into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kendrick Alexander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Dolinger.

Alexander jumps guard and drags Dolinger to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kendrick Alexander showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Alexander has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
