Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tweedle Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Danger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dee comes into the arena with Chumbawamba - Tubthumping blaring out of the sound system. Danger has chosen Danger as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tweedle Dee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Danger!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danger throws a nice inside leg kick.

Danger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Danger pulls Dee in close to his closed guard and prevents Dee from doing any damage or advancing position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Carlos Danger hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Danger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dee moves away.

and Danger counters with a straight right hand.

and Dee counters with a single leg into guard. Danger didn't expect that.

Danger is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Dee has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Dee takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Danger's coach down at Alpha Elite Private Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Danger's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Dee shoots in but Danger avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dee avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dee lands a nice looking kick to the body. Danger takes a step back to recover.
Dee lands a nice looking body shot.
Danger takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Danger walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Dee counters with a nice double leg into side control. Danger won't be happy with that.

Dee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A jab lands there for Dee.
Dee lands a nice shot that snaps Danger's head back.
Danger swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dee on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Danger swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Danger does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Dee finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Dee throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Danger tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dee is in Danger's guard.

Dee is in close to Danger's body, working some short punches and elbows.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Dee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Danger has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Danger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Crunch! Dee slams his shin into Danger's torso.
Danger uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dee has time to react.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Dee counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Danger is fending him off so far but Dee persists. Nope, Danger circles away and we're back to standing.
Dee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dee dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Danger. That did some damage!

Well Dee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
