The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Martell can pounce on him.
Summers tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Martell throws a low kick but Summers moves out of range easily.
Martell fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Summers checks it well.
Summers ducks under a wild hook from Martell.
Martell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Martell thumps Summers with a low kick.
Martell fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Summers is out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Martell misses the target.

Martell cracks Summers with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Martell is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Martell misses with a looping right.
Martell missing with a left hand there. Summers was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Martell fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Oberyn Martell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good leg kick by Martell there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Summers has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Martell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Martell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Summers paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Martell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Martell throws a looping overhand right but Summers ducks down to avoid it.
Martell scores with a head kick. Summers tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Nathan Summers has been cut.

Summers drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Martell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Martell throws a leg kick

and Summers counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Martell!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Summers tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martell sneaks back into half guard.
Martell is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Martell moves into full guard.
Summers pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Martell is keeping the position for now.
Summers is looking to pass into half guard but Martell pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Martell is in guard.

Martell is keen to just control but Summers is a slippery customer.

The fighters circle, before Martell throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Summers's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Martell lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
