Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Faustino English!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Jaa!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jaa forces English back against the cage and clinches.

English is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jaa is just too persistent for him and manages to trip English to the mat. English regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
English wants to hit a switch here but Jaa passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for English there!
English tries to control the position but Jaa now has his back.
English tries to break free.
English trying to control the action but Jaa just sinks the hooks in.
English is trying to get back to his feet but Jaa has full control of the position and if anything, English has just worked his way into a worse spot.
English trying to control the hands but Jaa won't let him.

Jaa got a little sloppy there for a moment and English has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jaa has managed to get both his arms back between English's legs - danger averted.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jaa connects with a nice short shot to English's temple.

English has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jaa is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for English.

English escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jaa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well Jaa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
