And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Underwood cracks Barao with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Barao closes the distance and clinches.
Underwood lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Barao has clasped his hands together around Underwood's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Barao decides to stand up, so the ref orders Underwood to his feet.
Underwood lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Underwood lands a leg kick that knocks Barao off balance momentarily.
Underwood darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barao closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Underwood with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Underwood feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Baraos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Underwood lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Barao is rocked!
Underwood lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Barao up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Underwood from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Barao's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Francis Underwood!
Our winner, Francis Underwood, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
