Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Etrigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Etrigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Welsh !
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welsh throws a head kick but Etrigan moves out of range.
Etrigan avoids the head kick by Welsh .

Welsh gets the takedown into side control.
Etrigan is trying to buck Welsh off.
You can see the frustration on Etrigan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Etrigan throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Etrigan has closed the distance and engaged Welsh in a clinch.
Etrigan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Etrigan looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Etrigan throws an elbow that misses.

Etrigan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Etrigan wants to clinch up but Welsh keeps it at a distance.
Etrigan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Welsh swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Etrigan has managed to clinch.
Welsh takes an elbow to the forehead.
Etrigan lands a damaging elbow.
Etrigan prevents the takedown attempt.
Etrigan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Etrigan tries for a takedown. No joy.
Etrigan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Welsh is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Etrigan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Etrigan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Welsh drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Etrigan throws an elbow that misses.
Welsh avoids the elbow strike from Etrigan, against the cage.
Etrigan misses with an elbow strike.
Welsh drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Etrigan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Etrigan prevents a takedown attempt there.

Etrigan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Etrigan loads up on a big right hand but Welsh slips the punch.

Welsh knocks Etrigan to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Etrigan is rocked!

It looks like Jason Etrigan has been cut.
Etrigan is breathing heavily.
Welsh works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Oh Etrigan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Etrigan throws Welsh to one side and escapes!
Welsh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Etrigan seems to have got his legs back now.
Etrigan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Welsh tries to avoid it but Etrigan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Welsh to the ground. Welsh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Welsh knocks Etrigan out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
