Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Walters!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walters lands a glancing blow to the side of Uvol's head.
A cross from Walters lands.
Uvol has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Pitbull MMA in the buildup to the fight.

Uvol gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walters looking for a sweep but Uvol has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Uvol looking to control and managing it successfully.
Uvol tries to control but Walters wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walters gets back to half guard.
Walters is staying active underneath Uvol, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Walters is defending against the submission attempts here by Uvol.
Walters is looking for a sweep. Uvol is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Walters trying to control but Uvol postures up.
Uvol takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Walters wants to get back to full guard but Uvol has mounted him!
Uvol takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Walters is squirming around, avoiding Uvol's attempts to control the action.
Walters tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Walters keeps trying to improve his position.
Uvol controlling from the full mount.
Walters wants to hold on but Uvol pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Uvol scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Walters tries to hold on but Uvol postures up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Uvol takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Walters in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Uvol sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Uvol seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Walters for as long as he can get away with.

Walters tries to lock up and control but Uvol gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Uvol cracks Walters with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Uvol tries to control but Walters wriggling away.
Uvol in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Uvol throws some wild stikes that Walters manages to avoid easily.
Uvol lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Uvol cracks Walters with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Uvol!
A relieved looking Paul Uvol thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
