Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Herschel Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Dan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy tries to clinch there but Dan circles away.
Dan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Hardy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hardy.
Hardy really is a fat lump.

Hardy breaks from the clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hardy.

Hardy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hardy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dan has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dan tries to buck Hardy off but Hardy is having none of it.
Hardy creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Dan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Hardy swings around for an armbar but Dan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hardy's guard.
Dan is looking to stand up but Hardy won't let him.

Dan trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom.
Dan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dan tries to stand but Hardy is controlling from the bottom.
Hardy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hardy is trying to control the position but Dan postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Herschel Hardy just wasn't active enough.
Hardy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dan counters with a left and a right that stings Hardy.
Hardy is breathing heavily.

Dan has Hardy up against the cage in a clinch.
Hardy tries for a takedown but Dan manages to get underhooks.
Dan is struggling to control the position.
Hardy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dan smiles and moves away.

Dan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hardy napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Dan postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Dan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hardy dodges the ground and pound from Dan.
Hardy regains half guard, as Dan was trying to land strikes.
Dan wants to pass the guard but Hardy is defending well.

Dan trying to control from half guard but Hardy is working away.
Dan is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hardy reverses the position - he's now on top in Dan's guard.
Dan trying to keep a closed guard but Hardy is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Dan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hardy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dan defends it nicely.
Hardy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dan counters with a series of strikes. Hardy will be more careful next time no doubt.

Dan throws a series of punches but Hardy moves out of range.

Dan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hardy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dan tries to advance to mount but Hardy denies him.
Hardy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dan on the ground.

Dan is working to tighten his grip on Hardy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hardy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dan is really squeezing tight and eventually Hardy passes out! Dan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
