The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurosaki throws an overhand right that lands on Yourass's shoulder, as Yourass tries to avoid the shot.

Yourass closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kurosaki tries to kick Yourass off but Yourass keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Yourass is looking to advance position but Kurosaki won't allow it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kurosaki is trying to stand.
Yourass stalling.
Kurosaki scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Yourass manages to mount him!

Kurosaki's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kurosaki trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kurosaki pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kurosaki throws a right and a left that both miss.
Yourass displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kurosaki throws out the jab.
Ichigo Kurosaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kurosaki wants to clinch up but Yourass keeps it at a distance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Yourass avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Yourass ducks right into an uppercut from Kurosaki.
