Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Graham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Makena Sy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Graham tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sy is in Graham's guard.
Sy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Graham tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sy gets to his feet - Graham follows without any prompting.
Sy lets loose with a powerful body kick. Graham will feel that in the morning.
Graham fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Sy counters with a leg kick.

Sy darts in and clinches Graham up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Graham is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sy to keep the fight standing.
Sy lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Graham is breathing heavily.
Sy scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Malcolm Graham has been cut.
Graham tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sy smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Malcolm Graham. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sy rushes Graham and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Graham tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sy has his feet on Graham's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Sy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sy ducks under a wild hook from Graham.

Sy clinches up with Graham and pushes him back against the cage.

Graham fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Sy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sy wants to stand but Graham is controlling the position.
Sy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sy is looking to stand up but Graham isn't so interested in that idea.
Graham postures up.
Sy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Graham!

Sy is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Sy extends the arm and Graham is forced to tap!
