Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Drum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chico Dominguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drum kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Emiliana Torrini - Jungle Drum. Chico Dominguez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Drum.
Drum lands with an overhand left.

Drum moves into range and clinches up with Dominguez.
Drum gets through Dominguez's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Drum lands with a light punch inside.
Drum blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Drum is struggling to control the position.
Drum digs a right hand underneath Dominguez's ribcage. Dominguez let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Dominguez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Drum smiles and moves away.

Dominguez gets tackled into the cage by Drum. Drum maintains the clinch.

Drum breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dominguez needs to keep his hands up - Drum had a free shot at his head there.

Drum clinches.
Dominguez fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Dominguez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

I was talking to Drum's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

and Drum counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Drum rushes Dominguez and presses him up against the cage.

The referee calls for Drum to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dominguez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Drum just stands there and leans against the cage.

Dominguez jumps guard but Drum turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
