The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velka misses with a leg kick
and Bourque counters with a one-two to the body.
Velka misses the shot to the body.
Velka has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bourque circles away from the clinch attempt
and Bourque counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bourque slips under a jab from Velka.
Velka throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bourque.
Velka misses with a looping right.
Velka's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Velka duly obliges.

Velka fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bourque is out of range.
Bourque throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

and Bourque finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Bourque looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A low kick from Velka is predictable there
and Bourque counters with a right hand to the body.
Bourque really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nice jab there from Bourque.
Velka moves out of range of the strikes.
Bourque takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Velka misses with a two punch combination.
Bourque throws a series of punches but Velka avoids them all with ease.
Velka lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

and Bourque counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Miklo Velka has been cut.
Velka swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Bourque counters with a straight right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Velka throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bourque makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Velka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Velka throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Bourque to counter with a crisp jab.
Velka misses with a hook.
The fight stays on the outside here - Velka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Velka moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Velka slips under a jab.
Bourque swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Velka is looking to clinch.
Velka lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bourque tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Velka was well out of range. Poor timing from Bourque.
Velka dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bourque. That did some damage!
Bourque is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Velka throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bourque counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Velka is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Velka gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Bourque counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Velka is rocked!
Bourque closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Velka out cold! Velka corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
