The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonapart misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bonapart shoots in looking for a takedown. Komodo tries to sprawl out of it but Bonapart keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Komodo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bonapart feints and as Komodo raises his hands in defense, Bonapart changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Komodo pulls Bonapart in close to his closed guard and prevents Bonapart from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joe Komodo was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Komodo misses with an attempted mid kick.

Komodo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bonapart was well out of range. Poor timing from Komodo.
Bonapart throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Komodo's waist but Komodo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bonapart off to one side.
Bonapart misses with a head kick.
Komodo dodges the punch combination from Bonapart.

Bonapart closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bonapart lands in his opponent's guard.

Bonapart postures up in Komodo's guard and throws a big left but Komodo blocks it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Komodo can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've been hearing that Bonapart has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Napoleon Bonapart has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Komodo throws a leg kick but Bonapart sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Komodo cracks Bonapart with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Komodo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bonapart to stand back up!

Bonapart shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Napoleon Bonapart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Komodo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Komodo counters with a nice right hand that sends Bonapart toppling to the canvas! Bonapart scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Komodo finish him?!

Bonapart is rocked!

Napoleon Bonapart's cut is getting worse.
Komodo goes for a small jab and connects. Now Komodo goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Bonapart stumbles back but Komodo runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Bonapart to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Bonapart will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
