The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skalinskas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jarvela sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Skalinskas somewhat.
Skalinskas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jarvela swivels and escapes.
Jarvela fails to land with a series of punches.
Skalinskas misses with a takedown
and Jarvela counters with a right hand to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomas Skalinskas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jarvela jabs Skalinskas to the body, keeping him at a distance.

and Jarvela counters with a nice uppercut.
Jarvela lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Jarvela scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Jarvela drops Skalinskas with a beautiful combination! Skalinskas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jarvela is looking for the KO!

OH! Skalinskas has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Jarvela smells blood and charges in for the finish! Jarvela unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Skalinskas sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
