The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Thompson throws a head kick but Nuppi moves out of range.
A cross from Nuppi lands.
Thompson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Thompson tries to keep at a distance but Nuppi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Nuppi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Nuppi.
A body shot lands from Nuppi.

Nuppi lands a left hand.
Thompson throws a head punch that misses.
Thompson is trying to pull guard but Nuppi turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Thompson is trying to maintain a safe position but Nuppi gets an underhook and turns Thompson into the cage.

Thompson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nuppi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thompson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thompson swats away the attempt to clinch by Nuppi.

A looping hook to the body misses from Thompson. Nuppi does a little dance to reset his feet.

Nuppi throws a right and a left that Thompson avoids nicely.
Nuppi takes a swing at Thompson's ribcage but misses.
Nuppi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nuppi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nuppi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looks like Paul Thompson has been cut.
Thompson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nuppi circles away.

Nuppi rushes Thompson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nuppi lands an uppercut.
Nuppi lands a shoulder strike.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thompson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Nuppi unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Thompson! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Nuppi is unloading with more strikes now! Thompson drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
