The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Best darts in and clinches Medina up against the cage.
Medina gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Best.
Best blocking some punches.
Best goes for a takedown in the clinch but Medina prevents it.
Best blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Best is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Medina pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Mary Medina has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Best.
Best changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Medina fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Best tries to score a power double leg takedown but Medina sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Best somewhat.

Best is pushing Medina up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Medina really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Medina wants to get back to striking at distance but Best won't allow it.
Medina gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Best.
Medina unloads a knee to the mid-section. Best lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Best tries to score a body lock takedown but Medina shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Mary Medina will probably get the nod.

Best shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Best showed some decent athleticism there.
Best uses his free foot to push down on Medina's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Medina.
Medina is looking to improve his position but Best isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Medina sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Best working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Medina wants to improve his position but Best is controlling well.

Best's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Best shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Medina pinned against the cage. Medina gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Medina scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Best has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Medina should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Best has tightened it up now! Medina should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
