Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Twofoura Bud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakurai's entrance music is Blood Rave. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Sakurai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Twofoura Bud!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai shoots in and drives through. Bud sprawls well.
Sakurai misses with a takedown attempt
and Bud counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sakurai's knee momentarily.
Sakurai tries for a takedown but Bud sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hiro Sakurai. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Bud pulls guard effortlessly.

Sakurai avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bud tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sakurai engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Sakurai working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bud is on top in guard.
Sakurai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sakurai has a closed guard, preventing Bud from standing up.
Sakurai wants to sweep but no luck.
Bud wants to control from the top but Sakurai keeps moving.
Sakurai looking to control but Bud passes into half guard.

Bud is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sakurai sees it coming and defends easily.
Sakurai is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sakurai works his way to full guard. Good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bud drops back looking for a leg! Sakurai is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sakurai manages to kick Bud off! Bud jumps back into Sakurai's guard.
Sakurai manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bud manages to get himself to full guard.

Bud looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Sakurai passes into side control.
Bud is not content to let Sakurai control the position.
Sakurai will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bud prevents Sakurai from moving into mount.
Bud is looking for a sweep.
Bud stuck in half guard on the bottom here.
Sakurai working the body and head with strikes.
Sakurai definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bud manages to get back to half guard.
Bud wants to get back to his feet.

Sakurai thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bud's head.
Sakurai seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bud does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sakurai is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Sakurai looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sakurai is trying to control the action in half guard but Bud is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sakurai is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bud doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sakurai.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sakurai seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bud does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sakurai misses with a takedown attempt

and Bud counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bud.
Bud stands and throws Sakurai's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sakurai is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bud is looking to take a break and control but Sakurai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sakurai is looking for a sweep.

Bud has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Sakurai throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bud counters with a two punch combo.
Bud scores with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bud clinches with his opponent.

Bud ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bud no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bud is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sakurai is looking to pass into half guard but Bud pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bud is in guard.
Bud trying to control but Sakurai is working from the bottom.
Sakurai wants to sweep here but Bud controlling him for the moment.
Bud trying to control the position from guard on top but Sakurai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sakurai has his foot on Bud's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bud works his way back into a safe position though.
Sakurai is trying to hold Bud in close to prevent damage but Bud has managed to pass into half guard.

Sakurai is trying to stand up here but Bud is controlling him well.

Sakurai is defending against the submission attempts here by Bud.
Sakurai is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've been informed that Bud has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Bud avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Sakurai is working hard here to advance position.
Bud passes Sakurai's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sakurai is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bud maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Sakurai could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bud has cracked it and Sakurai is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bud!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Twofoura Bud!
After winning the bout, Twofoura Bud thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
