Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baden Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tacks Mayfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayfield has chosen Blow Me Away- Breaking Benjamin as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mayfield shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Severn as he avoids it easily.

Mayfield takes the fight into the clinch.
Severn has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mayfield avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Mayfield makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Mayfield tries for a takedown but Severn manages to get underhooks.
Mayfield changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Severn fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Baden Severn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tacks Mayfield.
Severn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mayfield's waist but Mayfield gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Severn off to one side.

Mayfield looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Severn dives in for a single leg takedown but Mayfield sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Mayfield wants to get back to his feet but Severn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
That kick from Mayfield tenderised Severn's leg. Severn is trying to keep his angry face on.

Severn tries to sprawl but Mayfield drives through with a takedown into half guard.
