The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon circles away from the clinch attempt.

Gordon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pittman is not content to let Gordon control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Pittman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gordon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pittman wants to clinch up but Gordon keeps it at a distance.

Gordon moves into the clinch.

Gordon pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Gordon wants the takedown. Pittman is fighting it off but Gordon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pittman's guard against the cage.
Pittman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Pittman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gordon is surviving well by controlling Pittman's body position as best he can.

Pittman is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Pittman extends the arm and Gordon is forced to tap!
