The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter throws a right hand that misses
and Side counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Fighter throws a lazy uppercut
and Side makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fighter throws an off balance right hand
and Side counters with a stiff right hand.
Fighter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Side counter with a right hand.
Fighter misses with a left hand
and Side counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Fighter misses with a hook
and Side counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Side scores with a shot to the body.
Fighter throws a right hand that misses
and Fighter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Side avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fighter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Side's guard.
Side looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Fighter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fighter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fighter works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Side is looking for a sweep. Fighter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fighter is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Side sees it coming and defends easily.

Japn Fighter tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
