Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Cunningham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wan Man!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Man is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cunningham's half guard.
Cunningham is trying to stand.

Man is looking for a kimura here.
Cunningham tries to kick Man off but Man keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Cunningham makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Man looking to score a takedown here. Cunningham is defending well but Man drives through and ends up in Cunningham's guard.
Man must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cunningham looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Man drops back looking for a leg! Cunningham is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cunningham manages to kick Man off! Man jumps back into Cunningham's guard.

Cunningham trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Cunningham really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cunningham throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Cunningham is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cunningham is looking to stand up but Man isn't so interested in that idea.
Man is looking to work some ground and pound but Cunningham has wrist control.
Cunningham wants to stand up but Man is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cunningham wants to control the position but Man says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Cunningham manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Man fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cunningham to the ground. Man is now in Cunningham's guard.

Man gets to his feet - Cunningham follows without any prompting.
Cunningham throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Man manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Man throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cunningham escapes and throws Man's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Man looks winded!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Man can't do much from the bottom here.

Cunningham is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Man has escaped the position, nice work there.

Cunningham tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Cunningham is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Man knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Man tries to improve position but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cunningham wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Man, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Wan Man will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Cunningham throws a right and a left that both miss.

Man gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cunningham to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cunningham has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Man is proving hard to escape from.
Man wants to sweep here but Cunningham controlling him for the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cunningham accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Man is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Man really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cunningham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Cunningham drops back, looking for a kneebar! Man looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Man looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Man!

Cunningham tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Man moves into full mount!
Cunningham tries to hold on but Man pushes him away.
Cunningham is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Cunningham throwing hammer fists to the chest of Man. What's that going to do exactly?
Cunningham wants to control but Man is having none of it.
Cunningham is looking to improve his position but Man isn't that keen on the idea.

Cunningham tries to buck Man off but he can't manage it.
Man thowing shots but they're missing.
Man throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Cunningham tries to hold on but Man postures up.
Cunningham sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Cunningham avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Man.
Cunningham misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Man throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Cunningham misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Cunningham is positioning himself well to prevent Man advancing to mount.
Cunningham wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Man is just content to waste time from the top position. Cunningham takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Cunningham is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Cunningham uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Man feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Man gets to his feet. Cunningham looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Man passes Cunningham's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Cunningham trying to hold on to Man's head to control him but Man postures up.

Cunningham misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Man is looking for a kimura but Cunningham is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Man to get the leverage.
Man takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Man stops Cunningham from getting back to his feet.
Man thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cunningham throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Wan Man has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cunningham tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Man manages to move to mount!
Man avoids the attempt from Cunningham to control.
Cunningham trying desperately to get to his feet.

Man throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Cunningham because Man loaded up on that one.
Man avoids the attempt from Cunningham to control.
Man has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cunningham's face.
Man throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Man can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cunningham is looking to escape.

Cunningham tries to lock up and control but Man gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Man thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Cunningham is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Man throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Cunningham because Man loaded up on that one.
Poor strikes thrown by Man there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

And that's the end of the fight!
Wan Man comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Man has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
