Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rush drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rush accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Deleon keeping full guard, as Rush tries to pass.

Deleon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rush doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rush manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Deleon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rush defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Deleon throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rush uses it to pass to side control.
Deleon is breathing heavily.

Deleon wants to get back to his feet but Rush drags him back down.
Deleon is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rush connects with a decent elbow.

Deleon explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rush shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Deleon eats them both and turns towards Rush to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Rush shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rush was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Deleon wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The referee asks Rush politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rush prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Rush! Deleon is hurt baaadly! Rush is firing away with more strikes - Deleon is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
