Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwayne Duncan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones misses with a body kick.

Duncan drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
Duncan tries to pull guard but Jones forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Duncan prevents the takedown attempt.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Duncan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duncan wants it to stay on the feet.

Jones darts in and clinches Duncan up against the cage.
Duncan is trying to pull guard but Jones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Duncan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jones dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Duncan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Duncan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Duncan has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.
Jones is adopting a defensive guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Duncan jumps guard but Jones stands there with Duncan around his waist. Duncan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Duncan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jones has Duncan pressed against the cage, preventing Duncan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jones is trying to pull guard but Duncan has him pressed against the cage.
Duncan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Duncan slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Duncan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Crunch! Jones slams his shin into Duncan's torso.

Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Duncan moves into the clinch.
Duncan jumps guard but Jones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Duncan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Duncan is pressed up against the cage. Jones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Duncan down to the mat. Duncan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Duncan darts in trying to clinch
and Jones counters with a good low kick that Duncan was not able to check.

Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Duncan defends well and Jones ends up having to push Duncan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Jon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duncan wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jon Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Duncan keeps the fight on the outside.

A close second round but Jon Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Duncan's head.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Duncan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Duncan tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Duncan to the ground. Duncan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duncan as he jumps to the side.

and Duncan counters by clinching up.

Duncan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jones uses from the top position.

Duncan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.
Jones stops Duncan from standing up.
Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Duncan throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Duncan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Duncan throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jones uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Jones trying to control the action but Duncan is working from the bottom.
Duncan is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Duncan tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duncan circles away.

Duncan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Duncan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Duncan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Duncan shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Duncan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Duncan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jones to keep the fight standing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Duncan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Duncan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Dwayne Duncan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jon Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Duncan stuffs the takedown.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jon Jones.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
