Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Gregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's entrance music is Sandstorm. A fine choice. Gregor comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Engel by Gregorian kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Wanderlei Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
Silva is pulling down on Gregor's head. It's preventing any offense from Gregor, at least for the moment.
Silva is wriggling around but Gregor manages to pass to half guard.
Silva wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Gregor.

Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gregor on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gregor throwing strikes from guard but Silva blocks nicely.
Gregor wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Gregor looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well.
Gregor fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gregor uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Silva bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gregor's head.
Silva misses with a double jab.
Silva connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gregor momentarily.
Gregor shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wanderlei Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Gregor.
Gregor fails with the takedown.
Gregor steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Gregor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Gregor persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Gregor looks up at the clock. Bad move! Silva lands a right hand from hell, dropping Gregor. Silva pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wanderlei Silva!
