The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweet thows a body shot but no joy.
Avci looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Sweet closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Avci's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sweet's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Sweet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sweet stands up from Avci's guard - Sweet perhaps looking for a knockout.
Sweet swings for the body but Avci moves out of range.

Avci darts in and clinches Sweet up against the cage.

Sweet breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sweet keeps Avci at a distance using the push kick.

Sweet looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Avci!

Sweet decides to stand up, so the ref orders Avci to his feet.

Sweet lands a nice looking kick to the body. Avci takes a step back to recover.

Sweet darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
