And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Jyllendael!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jyllendael circles away.

Adams fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jyllendael to the ground. Adams is now in Jyllendael's guard.

Jyllendael manages to escape and get back to his feet.

We've been hearing good reports from Adams's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Adams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jyllendael walks away with a smile on his face. Adams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Adams is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jyllendael is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Adams to the mat. Adams regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Jyllendael wants to stand but Adams is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jyllendael must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

I think Jyllendael has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Jake Jyllendael rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
