Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Redban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redban's entrance music is M83 - Midnight City. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Redban!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Teddy Bass!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redban jabs Bass right on the nose. Bass blinks but takes it well.
Bass misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Redban throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Redban cracks Bass with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Redban throws a good cross that connects.
Nice takedown defense from Redban. No joy for Bass on that attempt.
Redban misses with a series of wild punches.
Bass is trying hard to land a takedown here. Redban sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Redban throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bass.
Bass pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Horrible takedown by Bass or perhaps it was just good defense by Redban which made him look bad.
Brian Redban has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Teddy Bass.

Bass ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Bass clobbers Redban with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Bass takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Bass avoids the body shot from Redban.
Redban throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Redban rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bass moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Redban tries to land a front kick but Bass steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bass throws a lazy right hand but Redban sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bass has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Bass closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Redban did well to prevent Bass getting side control.

Redban is defending against the submission attempts here by Bass.
Bass seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Redban does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Redban keeps control of the position for the meantime.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bass looks up at the clock and then as Redban takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bass smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Bass is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Redban knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bass working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Redban is looking to regain half guard here but Bass keeps moving and retains side control.
Redban is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bass lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Bass cracks Redban with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Bass misses with the ground and pound.
Redban manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Redban wants to take a breather but Bass is having none of it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bass manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Bass is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bass is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bass looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Redban puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Redban lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bass misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Bass tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bass has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Teddy Bass showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Redban's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Bass shoots in looking for a takedown. Redban tries to sprawl out of it but Bass keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Redban manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bass connects with a couple of short punches.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bass is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Teddy Bass comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bass winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
