Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between YB Sol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sol comes to the cage accompanied by SFIV - Theme of Ryu 2. YB Sol could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pedro Guerrero's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, YB Sol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pedro Guerrero!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sol fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Guerrero throws a body punch but Sol moves out of range.
Guerrero will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Guerrero slips under a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

YB Sol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sol throws out a powerful jab.
Guerrero misses with the combination.

Guerrero on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sol, as that shot connected.
Sol moves into range and connects with a jab.
Sol shoots in looking for a takedown. Guerrero tries to sprawl out of it but Sol keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guerrero manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Guerrero throws a right hand that Sol ducks under and follows up with a left that Sol also avoids with ease.

Sol throws a series of punches but Guerrero avoids them all with ease.
Guerrero fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sol on the side of the head.
Sol fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Guerrero stuffs the takedown.

and Sol counters with a one-two to the body.
Sol moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Sol with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Guerrero to score with a decent uppercut.
Guerrero scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Guerrero catches Sol with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that YB Sol will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sol lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Guerrero has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Guerrero there as he acknowledges the shot.
Guerrero slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Sol shoots in for a double leg but Guerrero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Guerrero takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Sol fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Guerrero throws a nice looking combination but Sol bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Guerrero scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sol doesn't seem bothered though.
Sol loads up on a big right hand but Guerrero slips the punch.
Sol swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sol wants to clinch.
Guerrero throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sol sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Sol moves in looking to clinch but Guerrero pushes him off.
Guerrero ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sol moves away.
Guerrero tries to bum rush Sol with a series of wild strikes but Sol uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pedro Guerrero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Guerrero misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sol.
Pedro Guerrero seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Guerrero misses with a few strikes there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sol looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sol throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Guerrero on the side of the head.
Sol bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Guerrero's head backwards.

Pedro Guerrero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sol shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Guerrero pinned against the cage. Guerrero gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sol throws a shot from downtown. Guerrero moves away and avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

No joy there for Guerrero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Well Guerrero has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
