And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adriano Ribeiro!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joaquin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ribeiro quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Ribeiro actively working from the bottom here.
Joaquin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ribeiro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ribeiro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Joaquin pulls his head out easily.

Joaquin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ribeiro tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Joaquin is in Ribeiro's guard.

Ribeiro manages to work his way to half guard, despite Joaquin's best efforts.

Joaquin wants to work for an arm triangle but Ribeiro is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Joaquin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Ribeiro holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Joaquin tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Joaquin moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Ribeiro has worked his arm free - good work by Ribeiro!

Ribeiro tries to bench press Joaquin off him but Joaquin keeps the position.
Ribeiro is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ribeiro wants to get back to full guard.

Joaquin is trying to control the action in half guard but Ribeiro is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Joaquin thows a huge punch but Ribeiro dodges it nicely.

I would just about give that final round to Adriano Ribeiro.
Well Joaquin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
