Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jalan Gibson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michel Desbiens!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desbiens shoots in looking for a takedown. Gibson tries to sprawl out of it but Desbiens keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gibson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Desbiens has closed the distance and engaged Gibson in a clinch.
Desbiens slows down the pace here.

Gibson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Desbiens has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That was a close round but I would say that Jalan Gibson will probably get the nod.

Desbiens stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Gibson to get to his feet.
Desbiens tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gibson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gibson shoots in looking for a takedown but Desbiens manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gibson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Michel Desbiens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Desbiens has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
