Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Logan Moules!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jordan Thomas!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas lands a slapping body shot.
Thomas slaps away a takedown attempt from Moules, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Moules misses with a two punch combination.

Moules looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Moules stops Thomas from standing up.
Moules really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Moules avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Moules wants to control from the top but Thomas keeps moving.
Moules looking to pass the guard.
Thomas working a defensive guard but Moules manages to pass into side control anyway.
Moules works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Moules tries for a kimura but Thomas is defending well.
Thomas is not content to let Moules control the position.
Moules definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Thomas takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Moules in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Moules throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Moules is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Thomas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Moules has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Moules is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Thomas has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Moules tries for a kimura but Thomas is defending well.
Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moules. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Moules trying to control the action but Thomas is working from the bottom.
Thomas tries to improve position but can't.

Moules tries for a kimura but Thomas is defending well.

Moules goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Thomas rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Moules's guard! Nice work there by Thomas!

Moules will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Moules keeping moving, preventing Thomas from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moules lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Thomas!

Moules fails to advance to Thomas's back.

Moules is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Thomas to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Thomas shrugs it off.

Moules looking to secure an arm triangle but Thomas defends it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moules is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Thomas can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thomas wants to control but Moules is having none of it.

Moules has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Thomas is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Logan Moules!
Logan Moules decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
