Cartwright comes into a darkened arena with his song building. St. Anger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jack Merridew could well score a knockout today. Cartwright is trying desperately to land a takedown but Merridew is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Cartwright.
Merridew drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Cartwright right on the button. Cartwright goes down! Merridew follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Merridew gets the win via TKO!

Cortland Cartwright was interviewed post fight and said 'My opponent was a worth adversary. I will get better and come again.'.
