Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohamed Hassan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Keamy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Martin Keamy enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mohamed Hassan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Keamy!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keamy's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Keamy duly obliges.
Keamy lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Keamy looks to land a right hand but Hassan moved out of range.
Keamy throws a nice looking combination but Hassan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hassan shoots in for a takedown but Keamy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Keamy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hassan is trying to defend but Keamy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hassan is trying to maintain the position but Keamy is very close to passing his half guard.
Hassan wants to get back to full guard.

Hassan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hassan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Keamy wants to control from the top but Hassan keeps moving.
Hassan trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Keamy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hassan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Keamy has managed to get both his arms back between Hassan's legs - danger averted.
Keamy with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hassan wants to stand up but Keamy is controlling him.
Hassan trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Hassan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hassan tries to get out of the position.

Keamy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hassan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Keamy is one step ahead there.
Hassan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Keamy manages to get himself to full guard.
Keamy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hassan won't allow Keamy to get back to his feet.
Keamy looks winded!

Hassan trying to control but Keamy is working from the bottom.
Hassan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hassan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Mohamed Hassan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hassan fails with a takedown attempt.
Hassan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Keamy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Keamy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hassan is controlling him.
Hassan works over Keamy with some ground and pound from guard.
Hassan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hassan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hassan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Hassan is pushing down on Keamy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Keamy is fighting to maintain full guard but Hassan has managed to sneak the leg through.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Hassan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Keamy's guard.
Keamy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hassan advances position into side control!
Hassan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Keamy keeps working.
Mohamed Hassan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Keamy tries to bench press Hassan off him but Hassan keeps the position.

Hassan stands up and beckons Keamy to his feet.
Hassan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hassan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Keamy is breathing heavily.
Keamy is defending well against a takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Keamy tries to land knees in the clinch but Hassan avoids the damage to the body.

Hassan manages to pull guard.
Keamy trying to control the position from guard on top but Hassan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hassan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hassan controls Keamy momentarily but Keamy frees himself.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hassan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Keamy is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mohamed Hassan just wasn't active enough.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Keamy enables Hassan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Keamy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Keamy wants to stand up but Hassan is controlling him.

Keamy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hassan is one step ahead there.
Hassan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Keamy can't keep his opponent in guard - Hassan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Well, if Hassan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Hassan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Keamy to get to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hassan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Keamy pinned against the cage. Keamy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hassan dives in and scores a takedown into Keamy's guard.
Hassan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hassan moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Hassan stands up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Hassan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Keamy is trying to defend but Hassan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Keamy moves into full guard.
Keamy wants to stand up but Hassan is controlling him.

Keamy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hassan passes into half guard.
Hassan trying to mount his opponent but Keamy defends it.

Hassan stands up out of the half guard.
Hassan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Keamy moves in looking to clinch but Hassan pushes him off.
Mohamed Hassan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hassan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hassan has managed to clinch.

Hassan has picked Keamy up - he's going for a ride! Hassan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Hassan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hassan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hassan decides to return to a standing position.
Hassan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Keamy can do to turn this around?

Hassan misses with a double jab.
Keamy keeps the fight on the outside.
Nice sprawl there from Keamy as Hassan shoots in.
Keamy tries to clinch up but Hassan circles away and keeps his distance.
Keamy takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Hassan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Hassan content to control rather than advance.
Hassan passes the guard and advances to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Keamy is looking to get to half guard.
Hassan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Keamy is bucking up trying to escape but Hassan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mohamed Hassan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hassan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
